Since Shadow is an engineered being, as opposed of simply being born, I truly am not sure of how someone like that would get a soul at all. Does he even have one? I'd like to think so, yet I don't think it might be "normal", but you're the expert. Feel free to discuss this with me anytime. Other than that, yes, his body, specially his mind has been damaged and tempered with several times, to the point of affecting his memories. Some of them were altered from the very beginning by his own creator and might be impossible to recover, yet others are simply "locked" after suffering severe damage when he fell from space and into the earth. This one is by far the hardest to explain, given that canon is very vague about what truly happened to Shadow then. There are hints that he died then and was brought back again by science. Perhaps it was only for a brief moment, but we'll never know.

I'm changing this a bit from my previous answer. I'm good with her seeing all there is. His past: his creation, the death of his best friend, how he was used by his creator to unleash his revenge upon humanity and how he didn't carry with it, etc; his present and future: he'll be hunted down and locked away by those humans he swore to protect. I've made headcanon of this happening regardless of the circumstances at some point of another, they would find any excuse to do so.
